FIFTH INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON
ALCAÑIZ, SPAIN
OCTOBER 18-22, 2010
The Instituto de Estudios Humanísticos (I.E.H., Institute for Humanistic Studies) will hold the Fifth International Conference on Humanism and Prevalence of the Classical World from Monday, October 18th to Friday, October 22nd of 2010, in Alcañiz, Spain. As with the four prior conferences, this event aims to bring together a broad spectrum of scholars and disciplines pertaining to the studies of Humanism and Prevalence of the Classical World in order to share ideas, to debate, and to enrich the research.
This fifth Conference will honor Professor Juan Gil Fernández, one of the most prominent Spanish scholars of various branches of Classical Philology, Spanish Humanism and Classical Tradition during the Renaissance, the Enlightenment, and in the contemporary world.

SUBMITTING A PROPOSAL
Proposals submitted for a 20-minute presentation may focus on any aspect of Humanism and Prevalence of the Classical World.

PROCEEDINGS
Plenary sesions and papers will be published under the title Humanismo y Pervivencia del Mundo Clásico. V. Homenaje al profesor Juan Gil. The maximum lenght of typewritten papers will be fifteen pages, double-spaced.
